NetMechanic Link Check is a free online link validation tool that can help you find dead links in your site.

Our Link Check robot will search your Web site, testing, verifying each link. When we're done we'll report all dead links we found and the status of each link we tested. Here's how:

Step 1: Enter the URL of your Web site.

Step 2: Select whether you want a single Web page or the first 5 Pages of your site. (If you want your entire site checked, NetMechanic offers that service for a nominal fee.)

Step 3: Select either "foreground" or "background" job. A foreground job will tie up your browser during testing. Submit a background job and we'll send you an e-mail message when testing is done. Since testing an entire can take a few mintues, we recommend running such jobs in the background.

Step 4: Press "Go" to start your job.

Link Check is safe and effective. Our robot changes nothing on your site; it simply diagnoses and reports on dead links. Our robot also pauses between each access to your Web server, ensuring that a minimum load is placed on your server.
